About the show
Welcome to the “Hero’s Journey.” What is the “Hero’s Journey,” you ask? It’s a story we see time and time again—in fairy tales, myths, and Hollywood blockbusters. It begins when something unexpected happens, altering the course of a person’s life forever. Think Neo from The Matrix, Jason and the Argonauts, Alice in Wonderland—I could go on. It’s the Hero with a Thousand Faces. These stories share common threads: once faced with a challenge, the hero must make a choice. Will you take the red pill and “see how deep the rabbit hole goes”? You get your letter to Hogwarts—but will you go?
How many times have we been told one thing, only to find out—when we look into it ourselves—that we’ve been lied to? It’s time to reexamine everything. The Hero’s Journey demands that you accept the challenge, step into the unknown, confront dragons, and rescue the damsel. And if you stay true, hold fast, and follow the path to the end—you emerge transformed. You emerge a Hero.
Am I the “master teacher” on this journey? Do I have all the answers? Not at all. I’m walking the Hero’s Journey right alongside you—and I’d love for you to come with me. Together, we’ll explore the Bible, Greek myths, megaliths, ancient civilizations, Nephilim giants, historical figures, secret societies, conspiracy theories, ancient aliens—everything. Let’s dig deep, do the research, and think for ourselves. What do you say? Let’s step into the darkness together… torches high!

About the host
Hey there, I’m Justin Brown—some folks know me as “Doc Brown,” though I’m no doctor, just a southern blue-collar guy from East Tennessee with a passion for exploring truth. I created Prometheus Lens to share what I call “The Hero’s Journey,” both mine and hopefully yours. I grew up in a strong church environment and was always the kid full of questions. But like many, I drifted during my teen years into rebellion and hardship—losing friends, going through divorce, and hitting rock bottom. Eventually, I found my way back to God, but this time with a deeper hunger for answers that traditional church settings weren’t offering.
That hunger led me down the rabbit hole in 2010 when I discovered Trey Smith and the “God in a Nutshell” series on YouTube. From there, I dove headfirst into the world of biblical giants, fallen angels, UFOs, and the unseen spiritual war behind the veil. The works of people like Dr. Michael Heiser and others unlocked the Bible in a whole new way. It reignited my faith and made Scripture come alive. In 2021, I felt a deep conviction to share what I had learned, starting with a small group and eventually launching The Dig Bible Podcast—a project that’s grown into something bigger than I ever imagined.
This show isn’t about surface-level chatter or coasting on guests' ideas. It’s about digging deep—into Scripture, history, and even uncomfortable topics—with curiosity and reverence. I don’t shy away from hard questions or obscure sources, and I believe truth often hides in unexpected places. This is my journey too, and I want to take you along with me. When I’m not podcasting or researching, I’m spending time with family or racing cars—because, well, some passions never die. Let’s discover truth together, one layer at a time.
